I see that many of my creative and artistic friends would benefit from incorporating their creative flow with their often computer-planned/managed endeavors. I myself have struggled to materialize ideas while being in such a collective, warm, and community-based environment in Uruguay for (only?!) 3 months.
I propose a new model and movement for producing collaborative, (co)creative environments that integrate the liberation of body/movement with advancing our endeavors. Some may opt to bring a computer, a notebook, or simply a pallet and a paintbrush. The idea is to advance something. You choose what. Together we create a manifestation playground full of experiment. We play, we focus on the vibration we resonate within. We move, we dance, we let the music penetrate deep within. Similar to ecstatic dance, we stay in silence. The magical ambience of a sound journey fueling creative and producing capacities.
Combined with methodical ways of working and organizing (Kanban, Agile and MVP methodologies) to deliver personal value and interact with the world, together we’ll find our own rhythms and practice connecting our inner flow with our outer flow.
To start, I envision a 3-4 hour workshop.
- Before: ask the participants to come prepared with (at least some aspects of) their purpose written. “Making the world a better place” or “make people happy” or “enjoy” are all acceptable; anything goes. It is possible the workshop will assist you to deepen and better understand if you are doubting.
- During:
- Introduction and group grounding exercises to build collective resonance.
- MVP art exercise: 2 minutes, 30 seconds, 5 seconds – then describe the steps of each – then give the statement of the core values (the requirement) and have them cross out what is not needed… to develop the MVP.
- They should leave this exercise understanding how we can have lots of features but that the MVP is based entirely on what is critical for the basic functionality to fulfill the core value / purpose / use case requirement and nothing else.
- (Purpose-focus) Share with the group something that does or would brighten your day if you could make an impact on another person.
- MVP art exercise: 2 minutes, 30 seconds, 5 seconds – then describe the steps of each – then give the statement of the core values (the requirement) and have them cross out what is not needed… to develop the MVP.
- Return to your notebook as frequently as needed to write down insights related to your purpose
- Root: Introductory guided movement
- Sacral:
- Solar Plexus: Move while asking yourself what kind of person it is that does those purpose-aligned things (identity-focus)
- Introduction and group grounding exercises to build collective resonance.
- After:
- Resources for breaking big “scary” projects/tasks into bite-sized pieces, MVP-style.
Ecstatic creation? Ecstatic working environment? Ecstatic co-creation environment?
Notes:
To learn to manifest from a liberated state, from abundance, and from connection to one’s purpose
Participants can expect:
- A wave of energy, sometimes perceived as excitement or anxiety – you are always free to return to meditation, movement/dance as needed.
- Inner resistance – natural and expected especially when we are conditioned to being small. Trust yourself. Dance, movement, and human-to-human contact can assist.
- Everyone to be finding their own rhythms.
People come with notebooks, yoga mats, computers, ready to dive deep
Knowing when to stop and pause and encourage movement. And to encourage movement at what stages – and what kind of movement? E.g. have them grab sit on floor and grab their feet when doing one of them? Or grab head? Or hand on heart?
From 5 min of ecstatic dance to silently writing notes down… giving them a meditation task for the 5 minutes
Purpose – Liberation – Pleasure – Personal and Community Empowerment
